🌍 Send Airtime Worldwide with Just One API Connection

Need to send mobile airtime to customers or team members around the world? With the Send Airtime action in TextIt, it’s never been easier. Thanks to our integration with DT One (formerly TransferTo), you can top up prepaid phones across 550+ mobile operators in 160 countries—all through a single API. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through how to set up your account, connect it to TextIt, and start sending airtime within your flows.

🔌 Getting Started: Enable Airtime Transfer in Your Account

Before you can start sending airtime, you’ll need a DT One account. 🧾 Don’t Have a DT One Account Yet? No problem! Head to the new DT Shop Sign Up page and create your account. Just fill in your details, confirm your email, and you’re good to go. Once signed in, visit the Developer section to find your API token. Looking for more technical details? Check out DT One’s developer documentation. Once your account is set up, head over to your TextIt account page and look for the DT One integration section. There, enter your DT One login and API token—you’ll find these on the Developer page in your DT One dashboard.

🚀 Sending Airtime in a Flow

Ready to send airtime to a contact? Here’s how: Create a new node in your flow.

From the list of actions, select "Send Airtime."

Choose the currency, specify the amount, and name the result so you can reference it later in the flow.

TextIt will automatically determine which currencies are supported for the contact’s phone number and send the largest possible amount (up to your specified value).

âś… Handling Success & Failure

Each "Send Airtime" action node includes two outcomes: Success – when the airtime is delivered

Failure – if the transfer couldn’t go through

You can customize the flow based on the outcome. For example: On success, send a confirmation message to your contact.

On failure, notify a team member via email, label the contact, or even add them to a group for follow-up.

In our example setup, we send a confirmation SMS to the contact after a successful transfer. If it fails, we send an email to the team lead that includes the contact’s phone number and other relevant details using flow variables. Need help using variables in messages or emails? Here’s how.

📊 View Your Transfer Logs

Want to check the status of past transfers? You can view a full log:

*Go to your TextIt account page.

*Scroll to the DT One section.

*Click "Transfer Log."

Here, you’ll see all successful and failed transfers—perfect for reviewing performance and troubleshooting issues.
