We're always working to improve our data security, and we now boast two-factor login and require email verification. If you have multiple users for your workspace, they may not all have completed the upgraded security measures. You can now easily identify the stragglers via the Users page in your Workspace Settings.

There are two columns indicating 2FA and Verification completion.

2FA

Two-factor login (also called two-factor authentication or 2FA) is a security process that requires two different types of information to verify your identity when logging into an account. Typically, it combines:

1. Something you know – like a password
2. Something you have – like a phone or authentication app

Why it's important:

2FA adds an extra layer of protection. Even if someone steals your password, they can't access your account without the second factor. This makes it much harder for hackers to break in, especially with password leaks or phishing attacks becoming more common.

Verification

Email verification for account login is a security process on TextIt where a user must confirm their identity through their email address. You'll only need to do this once.

Here's how it works:

1. You enter your email and password to log in.
2. The system sends a verification email with a link.
3. You must click the link to complete the login process.

Why it's used:
- To confirm that you own the email address linked to the account.
- To prevent unauthorized access from unknown devices or locations.

These features add an extra layer of security beyond just using a password, which we think is pretty important!
